We are so excited to announce that for this season we will be members of the Greener Camping Club!
This means improving our facility offering and a general upgrade for the site making it a more beautiful place for you to all come and stay!
Over the next few months we'll be rebranding, and re-launching the site and hope to reopen around June as there's lots of work to be done!

ABOUT
Welcome to our family-run campsite, nestled just a mile down the road from the stunning Lake Vyrnwy—making us the closest campsite to the lake!
With just 10 spacious pitches, we offer a peaceful, tranquil setting for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle. Whether you're here for a relaxing getaway, outdoor adventures, or simply to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, our campsite provides the perfect base for your stay.

We are now taking booking for stays from 9th June 2025
THE SITE
The site is lovely & peaceful, a handy 2 minutes walk from the village shop & takeaway and only 1 mile from Lake Vyrnwy. With the river Vyrnwy flowing through at the far side, it's perfect to sit and relax.

Our site is suitable for tents or small campervans (T4 size approx), we have specific pitches so please make sure you book the type you need.
With regret, we are unable to accommodate motor homes, large campervans or caravans.

We are unable to accommodate large groups unless arranged via email as we are a family sitenot suitable for loud party groups.​
​
Fire pits are welcome, there is a concrete slab on each pitch for
firepits/BBQ's to keep them off the grass.
​
You're welcome to bring your own fire pit or we have a limited amount available for you to use. and we have logs available to purchase.

FACILITIES

We will have composting toilets & showers too!
VEHICLE ACCESS
At our campsite, all pitches are conveniently located near the parking area, making it easy to transport your belongings with minimal effort. We can provide assistance and wheelbarrows to help you move your gear comfortably. Additionally, certain pitches have direct vehicular access, allowing you to drive right up to your spot for added convenience.
DOG FRIENDLY
We're happy for you to bring your four legged family members with you. Please be aware that we neighbour livestock fields so dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended on site.

CAMPERVAN PITCHES
Our campervan pitches are designed for ultimate convenience, offering spacious, level areas with easy access to all campsite amenities. Enjoy a comfortable stay surrounded by nature, with ample room to park, relax, and explore the great outdoors.
TENT PITCHES
Our tent pitches offer the perfect space to set up camp, with plenty of room for tents of all sizes. Nestled in peaceful surroundings, you'll enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay, with easy access to all campsite facilities.

TIMINGS
Pitch up & pack down
PITCH UP
You are welcome to pitch up anytime from 2pm onwards, just head onto the field, find your pitch and set up.
Someone will be over in the evening to say hello.
PACK DOWN
No need to rush in the morning, we ask that you pack down and leave your pitch by 11am.
(Plenty of time to treat yourself to a cheeky takeaway breakfast bap from the shop)

Things to Note
The site is not manned, you will be sent your pitch number the day before arrival and you're free to head onto site anytime after 2pm and set up. Someone will walk around in the evening to say hello but if you need anything just pop over to the farmhouse across the road as there's usually someone around.

BIRD HIDES & EVENTS
Lake Vyrnwy is an RSPB reserve and they've often got events on for the kids so check out their website for more info. There's also 3 bird hides for you to sit peacefully and see what you can spot. At the end of the Dam is the information gazebo for you to find out what's been spotted recently.

We're in the perfect location to head out and explore!
There's something for everyone, whether its a stroll up to the lake or through the forestry, a bikeride or run around the lake or a ride further afield, maybe over to Bala and back
(the views are worth it I promise!)
